TalentPond.org is a revolutionary new online system to connect California Community College (CCC) Career Technical Education (CTE) students/job seekers with employers, using actual skill-sets, rather than ambiguous job titles. TalentPond.org is designed by and for the CCC system, utilizing a powerful database system to match employers needs with student's skills.

Our team

Mike Starkey

Mike Starkey is a faculty member at SRJC and coordinator of the Digital Media program. In almost 20 years of teaching, he says not a week goes by without an employer contacting the CCC’s (California Community Colleges) looking for a student that has the skills to fulfill an open job in Sonoma County. Based on this need, he began developing the idea for TalentPond.org He believes there are many missed job opportunities in California, due to employers and skilled job seekers simply not finding each other based on ambiguous job titles and descriptions. Kerry Rego

Kerry Rego is a social media trainer, technology consultant, author, and speaker working with individuals, businesses, government, and non-profits. She educates people, implements tools, and trains staff on new media.

Kerry is a guest lecturer at Sonoma State University, Santa Rosa Junior College Community Education, and Windsor High School Digital Arts program. She is a recipient of the North Bay Business Journal’s 2011 “Forty Under 40 Award” and the author of three books about social media and reputation management.

Stormy Knight

Stormy Knight, from Web and Interactive Media Professionals (WIMP), a local, professional organization serving those currently working in the digital media fields, is working with the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Digital Media program. WIMP and SRJC are partnering to help promote and grow the digital media industry in the North Bay and Sonoma County from both the professional and educational perspectives. Read more

Quinn Supplee

Quinn is a web designer/developer and Linux systems administrator. A native of Santa Rosa, he's been building the web since 1996.

Quinn is a veteran of the dot-com era, having been a part of several startups and web development agencies both locally and throughout California. A frequent contributor to the WIMP community group, his passions are open source advocacy, responsive web design, and sharing knowledge with fellow web geeks.
